Nick graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, New York in 1998.  At the age of twenty he joined the navy and served seven years.  During that time he had three combat deployments to the Gulf.  While in the Navy, Nick took up boxing, wrestling, and also went through Navy Seal training, where he survived hell week with class 258.

            Since Nick was five years old he was trained by his father in the traditional style of Karate known as Goyu-Ryu.  In his last year of naval duty he trained with George Kano.  After his service was over in July 2007, he moved back to New York City to resume training with his father.

Nick's father was one of the pioneers in American Kickboxing.  After his service in the Army he started training with Billy Rivers and Walter Johnson.  He was a five time lightweight World Kickboxing Champion, retiring from the sport at thirty-six.

            Continuing with his traditional style Nick started training for International Rules Kickboxing and Amateur Mixed Marital Arts, and now holds a 7-0 amateur record. 
He is currently in Salt Lake City, Utah training at Jeremy Horn's Elite Performance Gym.

His first professional fight will be November 14th, 2008.
